The Atoll Design Studio Pvt Ltd

Interiors and custom-built furniture, from Malé and Singapore

The Atoll Design Studio pairs tailored interior design with custom-built furniture for hotels, homes and offices, its home page says. Its Contact page lists two offices for The Atoll Design Studio Pvt Ltd, one in Malé and one in Singapore. The site's own description calls it an interior design and fit-out provider for houses, villas, hotels, cafés and commercial spaces. Fit-out means building the inside of a space, from partitions and ceilings to fixed furniture.

How a project runs, in the studio's words

Its Expertise page says each design opens with questions: how life will unfold in the space, what mood it should create and what lifestyle it should support. It treats that talk between client and designers as the base of its made-to-measure process.

Under product delivery, the studio says it installs and commissions what it supplies and manages the delivery logistics. Commissioning means setting up and testing fitted items, such as lighting or built-in units, so they work before handover. A third line, project management and technical advisory, coordinates an interior project from the first design through hands-on work to completion.

Resorts and offices on its project list

Its Creations page lists resort work at Banyan Vabinfaru, Roxy Maldives Resort, Noku Maldives and Patina Maldives Resort. The same list adds an office project for Kaimoo and a building project. Its Vision page describes partners across the globe, with projects in Malaysia, Australia, Japan, the Netherlands and the Maldives. The same page ties each project, from concept to execution, to understanding what the client needs.

Enquiries and opening hours

Its PinkBazaar listing places it under interior designers in Malé, with enquiries by phone or WhatsApp. The listing gives its hours as half past eight to five on most days, nine to five on Saturday, with Friday closed. Its Contact page also carries an enquiry form.

What to settle before an interior starts

Custom-built furniture is part of what the studio offers. These questions are general guidance for anyone planning an interior or fit-out, not statements about this studio. Ask for an itemised quote, with materials, fixtures, loose furniture and labour each on its own line, and agree who buys the materials. For made-to-order pieces, ask for drawings with sizes and finishes to approve before production, and for the delivery date in writing.

Installation and commissioning sit within its product delivery service. Ask who will be your one contact on site, and how design changes are priced and approved once work begins. Before the last payment, walk the rooms together and agree a snag list, the small faults to put right. Ask how long the fitted work is covered after handover, and get that cover in writing.
