Privacy
This page is written from what the system actually does, and it reads like our verification standard: rules we can be held to. The data controller is White Gallery Private Limited, Malé.
Phone numbers we find on public adverts
When we record a rental advert from a public page, we record the phone number on it. That number is never published — the public record has no phone field at all. We use it once, for one human-sent message inviting the owner to claim their listing.
Reply STOP and the number goes on a permanent opt-out register. Every future message is checked against that register by the database itself, and no path exists that deletes an entry from it.
The number you give us when you claim
When you claim a listing, the number you type is stored together with the moment you gave it and the exact version of the words that were on screen when you gave it. It is used for one thing: the Viber messages about that claim.
Every message ends with “Reply STOP to never hear from us again.” A STOP puts your number on the same permanent register and cancels anything still queued to you, instantly.
ID documents
Where we have sighted an owner's identity document in person, we keep the last four digits and nothing else — the field that stores them cannot hold more. They never appear on a public page, a certificate or a badge.
Video walkthroughs
Walkthrough recordings live in a private store and are never on a public URL. Playback runs on signed links that expire after twelve hours. The recording's segments are used to verify the listing and to build its page.
Alerts
Alerts are double opt-in: nothing is sent until you confirm. Every direct message carries your unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing works instantly — no confirmation step, no survey.
Asking for a landlord's contact
To see a landlord's contact you give us your name and phone number, and we keep a record of which listing you asked about. That record is what makes the demand we show landlords real people, honestly counted.
What we don't collect
No analytics scripts, no trackers, no advertising cookies. The only cookies are sign-in sessions — one for our own staff, one for landlords.
Your IP address is recorded when you submit a claim, as a rate limiter. Messages sent from the contact page are delivered to the people who do the checks and are not stored in a database.
Questions
For anything about your data — including asking us to remove something — use the contact page. It reaches the people who do the checks.
