Spaces-Inc Studio

An architecture and interiors studio for tight spaces

Spaces Inc is an architectural design studio in Malé that sets out to solve congested spaces, and its home page says it was established in 2015. The same page lists eleven services, from interior and furniture design to MEP, structural and coastal protection design. MEP stands for mechanical, electrical and plumbing: the cooling, power and water systems behind the walls. It says it works closely with clients so that they understand and take part in the design process.

Interiors for lounges, salons, offices and homes

Its project page for the Baglioni Airport Lounge, in the Noovilu Seaplane Terminal, names Baglioni Hotels & Resorts as client for interior design and consultancy. Its Lueur Salon project page, for a 2022 salon interior in Hulhumalé, names Glacier Investments Pvt. Ltd as client for interior design and consultancy. Its Knowhub project page, a 2023 commercial interior in Malé, names Avia Maldives Pvt Ltd as client for interior design and consultancy.

Its OneGov Center project page, for a commercial interior in Malé, lists interior design, architectural design and consultancy. Homes on its list include a penthouse in Malé, designed with interior renders for the client. Renders are computer images that show a finished room before any work begins.

Resorts, renovations and island projects

Its Projects page sorts work into tourism and hospitality, residential and commercial, with entries from 2016 to 2025. The newest hospitality entry, at Filladhoo in 2025, is a complete renovation covering architectural, structural, MEP and interior design. Its Riu Atoll Maldives page names RIU Hotels as client for architectural and structural design. The list also covers resorts, a city hotel, a guesthouse, a liveaboard boat, a dive centre and a dive school, restaurants and a waterfront mall.

Its wider team and contractor

Next to its own architects and interior architects, the team section lists affiliated specialists for MEP and air-conditioning, BIM coordination, structural engineering and land survey. BIM, building information modelling, is a shared 3D model that keeps each trade's drawings in step. Its home page names Built Spaces Pvt Ltd as its affiliated contractor, and Built Spaces has its own PinkBazaar listing among interior designers in Malé. Its Journal page carries The Mind Space, with journal editions for 2023, 2024 and 2025.

Enquiries and opening hours

Its PinkBazaar listing, under interior designers in Malé, takes enquiries by phone or WhatsApp and gives its hours as eight to six, Saturday to Thursday, with Friday closed. Its website also has a contact form.

Questions for a flat or shop interior

Project management and material supply both appear on its service list. These questions are general guidance for any interior or renovation in a shared building, not statements about Spaces Inc. First, ask whether your building's management must approve the work, which hours noisy work is allowed, and who protects the lift and shared corridor. Where the studio supplies materials, ask for each item, brand and finish in writing.

Quantity survey is listed too. A quantity surveyor measures the materials and labour a design needs, which helps when you compare quotes. Ask how payments are tied to finished stages, and who signs off each one. Agree a written list of small faults to fix before the final payment.
