Inside Plus

Architecture and interiors studio in Malé

Its news page says Inside Plus was named Architectural & Design Firm of the Year at the MNACI Builder Awards 2025, from the Maldives National Association of Construction Industry. Its About page dates the firm to 2013 and describes a team of architects, engineers and interior designers working on homes, commercial premises and leisure spaces.

The same page offers full design and build, with its own project management and construction team taking a job from detail design to site work and buying materials.

Drawings, interiors and site management

Its architecture service runs from concept design and 3D rendering to floor plans, structural drawings and detail drawings for approval. It also prepares MEP drawings and checks as-built drawings. MEP stands for mechanical, electrical and plumbing, and as-built drawings record what was actually built.

For interiors, the list covers concept layouts, mood boards, 3D visuals, furniture layouts, lighting plans and a reflected ceiling plan. A reflected ceiling plan maps every light, vent and fitting on the ceiling. The page says the studio designs and sources custom furniture, lighting and décor.

Its project management line covers construction supervision, weekly and monthly progress reports, and a final inspection report.

Cafés, salons, resorts and public offices

Its portfolio page sorts work into architecture, interior design, and project management and consultancy. Interior jobs on that page include Barista cafés in Malé and Hulhumalé, Naadu Pizzeria, Nada Salon and Nada Clinic. Resort interiors on that page include Hurasveli, Ifuru, Kunaavashi and Fiyavalhu, alongside penthouse, guest-house and yacht interiors.

Under project management, the page names the Auditor General's Office and Kunaavashi Island Resort. The page's architecture entries include an extension to the STO head office and a harbour park in Dhangethi. Its home page features an office for Thinadhoo City Council and a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf café at Surfview.

Starting a project with the studio

Its contact page has a project form that asks which service you need and accepts attached PDF or DOC files. The head office is in Malé, and its PinkBazaar listing takes enquiries by phone or WhatsApp. That listing gives its hours as nine to five from Sunday to Thursday and nine to two on Saturday, with Friday closed. Its Local.mv listing, published in February 2021, files it under interior designers and architects.

Questions for a design-and-build job

Inside Plus offers design work on its own and full design and build. These questions are general guidance for any interior fit-out, not claims about Inside Plus. First, settle the model: will the firm hire and manage the fit-out workers, or will you hand its drawings to a contractor of your own? Ask who answers for delays and defects under each choice.

A bill of quantities opens its project management list. That is a list of every material and task. Ask for the quote set out the same way, with materials, fixtures and labour on separate lines, and agree who buys the materials.

Its architecture service prepares detail drawings for approval. If a wall, window or façade changes, ask who prepares and submits the approval drawings, and whether your building's management must agree the working hours.

Its project management list ends with a final inspection and the issue of taking-over certificates. Before the last payment, walk the space with a snag list, the small faults still to fix, and ask how long defects stay covered after handover, in writing.
