Cameras, alarms and smart locks

cctv.mv offers four kinds of security work on Hiyaa, a Maldives rentals and home-services site: CCTV and camera installation, alarm and security systems, smart locks and access control. CCTV, short for closed-circuit television, is a set of cameras linked to a recorder that you control. Access control lets a door open by card, code or fingerprint instead of a key. The business runs its own Hiyaa account, which shows three active service listings. All three went live on 24 April 2026.

Security listings, service by service

Its main security listing names all four services and covers Malé, Hulhumalé and Villimalé. A second listing with the same title, also published on 24 April 2026, carries smart lock installation and access control systems. Smart locks open by code, card, fingerprint or phone, and many models keep a key cylinder as a back-up. Alarm systems pair door and motion sensors with a siren or an alert on your phone.

Moving and set-up work too

A third Hiyaa listing, under Moving & Setup, offers apartment moving and furniture assembly or disassembly in Malé and Hulhumalé. iBay, the Maldives classifieds site, holds three adverts that carry the same contact details. The newest sits in iBay's Building & Construction section for Malé and is dated 19 April 2026; the other two date from October 2025.

What to ask before a camera or lock job

Its security listings put cameras, alarms, smart locks and door entry side by side. The questions below are general guidance for any camera or lock job. Ask for a floor sketch that shows where every camera, sensor and keypad will go. Keep cameras on your own door, stairs or parking space, and away from neighbours' windows. Ask how many days the recorder keeps footage, and whether you can watch it on your phone. Agree who holds the admin password, and change it once the installer leaves.

Smart lock installation appears on both of its security listings. Before buying a smart lock, check that it suits your door's thickness and the side the handle sits on. Ask how codes and fingerprints are added and removed, and what warning you get when the battery runs low. If a move or a renovation is coming, ask whether existing cameras and locks will be taken down and refitted, with each job priced on its own line.
