Click Computers (Click Maldives Pvt Ltd)

A Malé computer company with its own repair arm

Click Computers (Click Maldives Pvt Ltd) sells computers, network gear and CCTV equipment from showrooms in Maafannu, Malé, and its About page dates the company to 2004. The same page names two subsidiaries: Click Computers, for retail and wholesale of computers, peripherals and software, and Click Services, for computer repair. It lists its customers as multinationals, government institutions, private organisations and resorts. Its PinkBazaar entry files it under CCTV installation in Male (Malé).

Service centre and opening times

Its contact page lists a showroom and service centre in Maafannu, as well as the showroom that houses its head office. The site gives the service centre's hours as nine to noon, half past one to six, and eight to half past ten at night, Saturday to Thursday, with Friday closed. The site gives the head-office showroom the same hours from Saturday to Thursday, and on Friday four to six and eight to half past ten. Enquiries go through a message form, email, phone, Viber, WhatsApp or Telegram.

Network, Wi-Fi and server equipment

Under network and communication, its shop lists servers, NAS devices, access points, switches, routers, network cables and mobile Wi-Fi. A NAS is a storage box on the network that holds shared files and backups. Its access points are mostly Ubiquiti UniFi models, long-range and mesh types among them, with TP-Link units for outdoor links. The accessories menu adds UPS units and storage drives. A UPS is a battery unit that keeps equipment running through a short power cut.

CCTV cameras and recorders

Its CCTV shelf carries Hikvision, Dahua and TP-Link VIGI cameras, from indoor pan-and-tilt Wi-Fi models to outdoor full-colour units. For recording, it stocks Hikvision NVRs and TP-Link VIGI kits that pair a recorder with cameras. An NVR, short for network video recorder, keeps camera footage on its own hard drive.

Computers, screens and smart-home items

Desktops run from basic and work machines to gaming and custom-built PCs, beside monitors, projectors, televisions and POS systems. POS systems are the tills and scanners a shop uses to record each sale. Laptops and tablets include Microsoft Surface, Apple MacBook and iPad ranges, and printers and scanners have their own section. A smart home section holds the Google Nest Hub display and a Tapo robot vacuum and mop.

Questions for a repair or equipment quote

Repairs are the work of Click Services, the arm its About page names for computer repair. The questions here are general guidance for any computer repair or network purchase, not claims about Click Computers (Click Maldives Pvt Ltd). Before a laptop or desktop is opened up, ask for the fault to be found and priced first, for your files to be backed up, and for any new part to be named on the job sheet.

Its shop carries Ubiquiti, TP-Link, Hikvision and Dahua equipment. If someone else will fit what you buy, have their quote name each router, switch, camera and recorder by make and model. Check too whether set-up comes with the sale, and who deals with a warranty claim if a unit fails.

Some recorder kits in its shop come with cameras included. Before buying a recorder, work out how many days of footage its drive will keep, which app shows the cameras remotely, and who owns the admin account.
