Rasheed Carpentry and Construction Pvt Ltd

A carpentry business that grew into a builder

Its About page says Rasheed Carpentry and Construction Pvt Ltd, known as RCC, began in the 1950s as a small carpentry business making furniture and doors by hand. The business was formally registered in 1980 and became a private limited company in 1995. Its construction page says that workshop, started over forty years ago, now delivers projects across the Maldives from an office in Malé.

Made-to-measure woodwork for the home

Its carpentry page lists cabinet making, bespoke furniture, kitchen units, wardrobes and closets. Door and window fitting, panelling, shelving, wooden partitions, staircases and handrails appear there too. The team also repairs and restores wooden structures, builds decks and pergolas, and offers design support with on-site installation. Finish carpentry, including trims and mouldings, is listed as well. Finish carpentry is the visible woodwork, such as skirting, door trims and mouldings, fitted once the walls are done.

Upkeep, leaks and repairs

Its maintenance service covers homes, resorts, businesses and public buildings. The list takes in plumbing upkeep and leak repairs, electrical troubleshooting and HVAC servicing. HVAC is the air-conditioning and ventilation side of a building. It also names painting and finishing touch-ups inside and out, minor civil repairs, emergency repairs and scheduled maintenance programmes.

Aluminium, glass and finishing

Its aluminium page covers windows, doors, roller shutters, glass handrails and shower partitions, from on-site measuring to installation. It repairs and replaces aluminium systems, with powder-coated or anodised finishes. Powder coating is a baked-on paint layer, and anodising thickens the metal's own protective skin. For larger jobs, the construction page lists renovation, refurbishment, demolition, design and build, and finishing such as flooring, painting and facades.

Apartment buildings in Hulhumalé

Its home page shows RCC developing RCC Paragon LUXE in Hulhumalé Phase 1 and Blue Marina View in Phase 2. It is the contractor for The Grande Canal Residences in Phase 2, developed by The Habikon Pvt Ltd. The page also names Masjid Rasheed in Phase 1, built as a community project, and Shaheed Ali School in Phase 2, opened in 2026.

Lifts, concrete, materials and hire

Its elevator arm names RCC as the official Maldives representative of Kleemann, a European maker of passenger and freight lifts. RCC Supermix runs a ready-mix concrete plant, and Buildware imports building materials. RCC Rentals hires out equipment and tools for anything from a small home improvement to a large build.

Before the saw comes out: questions to ask

Its PinkBazaar listing puts it under carpenters in Malé and offers phone and WhatsApp contact. On 8 October 2026 that listing showed it open from eight until half past six, Saturday to Thursday, and closed on Friday. Treat the questions below as general advice for any carpentry or wet-room job, not as claims about RCC. For built-in furniture, ask which board will be used (solid wood, plywood, marine plywood or MDF, a board pressed from wood fibres), which hinges and handles, and ask to approve a drawing before cutting starts. For varnished wood, ask which product and how many coats, and whether the timber is treated against termites first. In a bathroom, ask what waterproofing goes under the tiles and how the floor will fall towards the drain.
