Maziya Services

Finishing work in Malé

Maziya Services traces its start to the 1970s, when a small team took on painting and other finishing work in Malé, its About page says. The same page says Maziya worked on major government projects in the 1980s. Its Services page speaks of more than thirty-five years of experience in finishing works.

Its contact page gives the company name as Maziya Service Private Limited, with its office in Male' (Malé). Its Local.mv listing files it under interior designers and paint dealers.

Paint, wood and waterproofing

The site lists its specialities as painting, wood treating, wood glossing, decorative painting and waterproofing. Wood treating protects timber from rot and insects, while glossing seals it under a shiny clear or tinted coat. Its home page offers interior and exterior painting for houses.

Among its recent projects, the home page shows the Rasfannu Pavilion, built over the sea at Rasfannu.

Maziya Traders: colour mixing and paint supply

Maziya Traders is the outlet for its products, and it mixes each customer's chosen colour on computerised machines. The Services page says orders are delivered to the door in Malé and by local boat to other islands. Its site lists Maziya Traders shops in Malé and Hulhumalé, plus Kulhudhuffushi and Hithadhoo.

Popular brands on its home page include Samhwa, Terraco, Silk Plaster, Beorol and Propan. Its Samhwa page describes that brand as a paint maker from Korea. The products page adds Saint Gobain, Sheetrock putty, Bailey plaster and a Suzuka pebble-stone coating for walls and floors. It also sells silk plaster, which it calls liquid wallpaper. Silk plaster goes on wet with a trowel and dries to a soft, fabric-like surface. Acrylic crack filler, anti-slip coatings, gel stain and cornice also appear in its product list. Its About page says all its products are eco-friendly.

Maziya Construction

The Services page says Maziya Construction started in 2017 and builds projects from the ground up. It describes a large in-house crew of specialised workers, so separate tasks are not handed to third-party firms. The About page adds that this arm delivers finishing to the customer's specification, with interior work kept in the company.

Opening hours, offices and enquiries

Its website gives its hours as eight in the morning to ten at night, every day except Friday. The contact page carries a message form and separate phone and email lines for the finishing and construction teams. The About page describes stated safety guidelines for its workers, along with company-provided medical cover.

Before you book a painter

Maziya Traders mixes paint colours to order. The points below are general guidance for any painting or finishing job, not statements about Maziya Services. Ask for the paint brand, the exact product and the number of coats for every surface, set out in the quote.

Waterproofing is one of its named specialities. Where walls show damp, ask how the cause will be found before any paint goes on, and how a roof or balcony coating is tested.

Wood treating and glossing are on its list as well. For doors and frames, ask which varnish or stain is planned, how many coats, and whether termite treatment comes first.

Inside painting for homes is part of its service. Agree who moves and covers furniture, who protects the floors, and who carries the waste away.
