Wood Pro

Wood Pro: workshop, materials and fit-out in one business

Wood Pro cuts and edges panels to order in its own workshop, sells the boards and worktops to build with, and designs and fits out whole interiors. The company behind it is Woodpro Pvt. Ltd. Its About page describes a team of carpenters, renovators and craftsmen with a combined ten years of experience. The same page says its work moves between homes, commercial premises, hotels and resorts.

Three lines of work

In its craft studio, customers order panel cutting, edge banding and CNC fabrication online, starting from their own cut list. Edge banding is a thin strip glued over the raw edge of a cut board. A CNC machine is a computer-guided cutter that shapes a panel to a drawing.

The materials side sells countertops, boards, laminates, edge banding and appliances, with online ordering. Its shop lists quartz and terrazzo worktops, melamine-faced chipboard and high-gloss boards, and wardrobe fittings, hinges, drawer slides and lighting.

Its design-and-build line covers full interior fit-out, from concept to installation, with made-to-measure furniture and joinery for hospitality, retail and commercial spaces. The About page adds handcrafted furniture for homes and offices, from an office table or a kitchen cabinet to a whole interior overhaul. It also sells its own crafted furniture and joinery supplies.

Shops, a café and two homes on its portfolio

Its portfolio page presents design-and-build work across hospitality, retail, commercial and residential interiors, dated from 2018 to 2022. Named jobs on its portfolio page include Balmain Maldives, Klever Kids Shop, the IMTech and SONEE Fishing shops and the Megachip showroom in Malé, plus the Dhovemi Duty Free Shop at Velana Airport. In Hulhumalé, the list shows a café and bistro, several shop fit-outs and two residences.

From the first site visit to the final clean

Its About page sets out the way a job runs, in four steps. After an enquiry, the team books a visit to learn about the project and inspect the site. Detailed mock-ups and scaled shop drawings follow, and an offer based on those drawings goes to the customer for approval. Shop drawings are the workshop's measured plans for each piece. Once the customer confirms, the team measures the site again, rechecks every detail and gives a timeline. Assembly comes last, and the page says the team deep-cleans the site when the work is finished.

PinkBazaar lists Wood Pro twice as a carpenter in Malé, and both listings take enquiries by phone and WhatsApp. The two PinkBazaar listings give its hours as 8.30 am to 10.30 pm and 8.30 am to 10 pm, with Fridays closed.

Before you order furniture or joinery

Kitchen cabinets are among the pieces its About page names. These questions are general guidance for anyone ordering built-in furniture, not statements about Wood Pro. Ask for a site measure and a drawing with every dimension before the workshop cuts anything, and sign the drawing off first. Ask which board or timber each part uses, and which finish goes on it: laminate, veneer or paint. For a kitchen or bathroom, ask whether the carcass, the cabinet box itself, is made from moisture-resistant board.

Hinges and drawer slides appear in its shop range. Have the hinges and drawer runners named in the quote, and ask whether they close softly. Check whether delivery, carrying pieces up the stairs or in the lift, and fitting are all in the quote, and who takes the old units away.
