Hybrid Maldives

A Malé carpentry business on two directories

Hybrid Maldives is listed on two directories as a carpentry business based in Malé. On Hiyaa, a Maldives rentals and home-services site, its listing shows kitchen cabinets, wardrobes and custom furniture. Hiyaa's own team set that listing up on 17 April 2026. Its PinkBazaar entry, which carries the same contact details, gives a Malé address.

Areas covered and opening hours

The Hiyaa listing names three areas: Malé, Hulhumalé and Villimalé. PinkBazaar shows it open from Saturday to Thursday, 9 am to 6 pm, and closed on Fridays. Enquiries go by phone or WhatsApp on both sites, and each one links to a Facebook page for the business.

Wardrobes, kitchens and made-to-measure pieces: what to settle first

Wardrobes sit between kitchen cabinets and custom furniture on its Hiyaa list. These pointers are general advice for buying built-in furniture anywhere. Ask the carpenter to take the measurements on site, so uneven walls or floors are allowed for. For a wardrobe, agree the door type, any mirror, and how the inside is divided. Ask whether the wardrobe will have vents or a gap at the back, so clothes stay dry in humid weather.

Its kitchen cabinet work is named first on Hiyaa. Ask what the worktop is made of, and who cuts the openings for the sink and hob. Ask for the carcass board, meaning the cabinet box itself, to be named in writing with its finish: laminate, veneer or paint. Check that handles, hinges and runners are listed by brand, so two quotes compare fairly.

Custom furniture is the third service on the listing. Share a picture of the piece you want and its exact size, and ask how the wood will be treated against termites and damp. Ask whether the piece is built in the workshop or on site, and how much dust and noise to expect at home. Before the final payment, check the piece in place: doors line up, drawers run smoothly and surfaces are clean.
