Fancy Cushion

Cushions, curtains and blinds

Fancy Cushion is a cushion-making, blinds and curtain store, its Local.mv listing says. Local.mv adds categories for upholstery, furniture repair and restoration, and curtains, blinds and soft furnishings.

Curtains and blinds: points to settle

Its Local.mv entry carries a link to its Facebook page. These general tips apply to any curtain, blind or cushion order. Ask the maker to measure the windows, and decide whether blinds sit inside the window recess or over it. Ask about lining or blackout fabric for bedrooms that catch the morning sun. Check whether the tracks or rods, and the fitting, are part of the quote. Bring a fabric swatch or a photo of the room, so colours can be matched.

Listing and date
