Megaton Electronics

Megaton Electronics, a television repairer in Malé

Megaton Electronics, based in Malé, is a television repairer whose Local.mv listing, written in its own voice, names LED and LCD TV servicing as its specialism. The same listing files the business under electronics repair and maintenance.

Its current television advert

An advert on iBay, the Maldives classifieds site, that carries the same contact details sits in the Malé television-repair section and was updated on 22 July 2026. An LED television is an LCD screen lit from behind by rows of small lights called LEDs.

Booking a TV repair: points to raise

Flat-screen TV servicing is the work its Local.mv listing puts first. The points here are general guidance for anyone booking a TV or water-heater repair, not statements about Megaton Electronics. Start by putting the fault into plain words: no picture, lines across the screen, a blue screen, or sound with no image. Read the model from the label on the back of the set and send it with your message, so the technician knows which board and panel to expect. For an older or very large set, ask for the repair figure and the cost of a new television side by side before work begins. Ask for any replaced part to be named on the bill, and whether the part and the labour each carry their own cover.

Geyser repair

On PinkBazaar, a directory that lists Maldives businesses, its entry adds a second trade: geyser repair in Malé. A geyser is the electric water heater that feeds hot water to a shower or a kitchen tap. When one runs cold, ask whether the heating element or the thermostat has failed, and how that repair compares with fitting a new tank. While the technician is there, ask them to check the safety valve, the part that lets out pressure if the water overheats.

Getting in touch

Its PinkBazaar entry takes enquiries by phone and WhatsApp. The same entry gives its opening days as Saturday to Thursday, with Friday closed. On those days, the entry lists a morning session from nine until noon and a second session from two in the afternoon until ten at night. Its Local.mv listing adds a call button and a link to the company's Facebook page.
