What the badges mean
A badge on this site is a rule, not an opinion. Each rule below says what has to be in our hands before a listing may carry that badge. When it is not in our hands the badge is not on the listing, and the listing says so.
The four badges
A listing carries this badge only if we have sighted the owner's national identity document in person. We keep the last four digits and nothing else, and we never print them on a public page.
Two badges at the second step, and they are not the same claim
A listing carries this badge only if we hold this property's entry on the council's rental register and can print the reference number beside the claim — which we do, on every screen that makes the claim, so you can check it at the source.
A listing carries this badge only if the owner showed us a document of ownership and there is no council entry behind it. It says so in those words wherever it appears, and it is never shown as the badge above. Absence of evidence resolves to the weaker claim, never the stronger one.
We are not the council and this is not a government registration. The council's rental register belongs to the council; where we rely on it we cite it by reference number so you can check it at the source yourself.
A listing carries this badge only if a named person from Dhoraashi has been inside the property and photographed every room on our coverage list. The date of that check, and the name and face of the person who made it, are printed on the listing and on its record page.
A listing carries this badge only if a signed tenancy agreement for the property has been filed with us, and we print its reference beside the claim.
A check is a fact about a day
A site check describes the day it was made. Time does not renew it, so we let it age in public rather than quietly keeping it current:
- After 90 days the check turns amber and the listing says a re-check is due.
- After 180 days it expires. The badge falls back to what the paperwork alone supports, and the old date stays on the record as history.
We never delete a check. An expired one is shown as expired, and a withdrawn one says that we withdrew it and why.
What is missing is shown too
Every listing shows all four rows, including the ones it has not earned. An unearned row is greyed and reads “Not yet verified”. The gaps are shown because the gaps are the part nobody can fake.
If something here looks wrong
A badge that claims more than we hold is the worst defect this site can have. If you find one, tell us and name the record.
