Ref Cool

About Ref Cool

Ref Cool, which also trades as Refcool, sells and services Gree air conditioners from Malé. Its About page says the business was founded in 2002 as the sole authorised distributor and service partner for Gree in the Maldives. The same page says Refcool Maldives Pvt Ltd was registered in February 2020, turning a long-running sole proprietorship into a company. The page names its customers by sector: government offices, tourist resorts, boat operators, real estate developers and construction companies.

The Gree range in its shop, and what to ask

Its shop page lists Gree wall-mounted units from the Pular series, ceiling cassettes and portable ACs. Alongside these, the shop page lists a marine air conditioner for boats, an air curtain for doorways and a portable air purifier. The About page says Gree's line runs from wall-mounted units to central cooling systems, for homes, guest houses, resorts and marine vessels. A ceiling cassette sits flush in a false ceiling and blows air in several directions. The questions in this profile are general guidance for anyone buying or servicing cooling equipment or home appliances, not claims about Ref Cool. For a cassette, ask how the ceiling opening will be cut and finished, and where the drain line will run. When you buy and fit together, ask who handles a warranty claim with the maker, and how long the installation itself is covered.

Repairs, cold rooms and vehicle AC, with tips

The Services page covers AC installation and repair for all types of air-conditioning systems. The same page adds repairs for refrigerators and washing machines of all brands. For businesses, it designs, installs and maintains commercial cold rooms for temperature-controlled storage. For a cold room, ask for the cooling-load calculation in writing, so every quote is sized on the same basis. The Services page also lists auto AC repair and engine maintenance, and names the Refcool Engineering Workshop. The Services page describes a team of certified technicians. For a fridge or washing machine, ask whether the repair is done in your home or at a workshop, and how long you would be without it.

Larger systems and recent projects

Its home page lists recent projects, including new VRV units at the National Museum and a VRV installation on a floor of MTCC Tower. VRV is a central set-up where a single outdoor system serves many indoor units, often used in offices and larger buildings. A completed project at Dharubaaruge appears on the same list.

Outlets, group and hours

Customers can visit its RefcoolX outlet and two Letscool outlets, one in Malé and one in Hulhumalé. Its About page says Letscool opened in 2016 to show the full range in one place, and a Hulhumalé outlet followed in 2017. The same timeline traces a wider group, including Coolride for vehicles and Refcool Electronics for home appliances.

The contact page gives business hours from Saturday to Thursday, with Friday closed. Service requests go through a form on the home page that asks for the service type and a city, Malé or Hulhumalé. The contact page lists a phone line and email for quotations, and an email address for sales.
