About Denicon

Denicon sells inverter air conditioners from four brands, Akavee, AUX, Midea and TCL, through its own online shop. Its website footer names the company as Denicon Construction and Trading Private Limited, with dates running from 1997.

Choosing a unit from its range

Each brand comes in several BTU sizes, and every model on the list is an inverter unit. AUX appears in two lines, H-Smart and Q Smart, and Midea in its Xtreme Plus line. All tips in this profile are general guidance for anyone choosing and fitting a split AC, not claims about Denicon. A BTU figure is the amount of heat a unit can remove each hour; a larger room, strong afternoon sun or a crowded room calls for a higher figure. An inverter unit slows its compressor down rather than switching it off and on, which keeps the temperature steadier and usually saves power.

Installation terms on its product page

Its Midea product page says every split AC comes with a basic installation kit of copper pipe, electrical wire and a wall bracket. Ask how long a pipe run your wall needs, since an outdoor unit placed far from the indoor unit may need more pipe than a basic kit holds.

The same page offers basic installation in Malé and in Hulhumalé, charged separately from the unit. Removing an old unit, casing, longer pipes, carpentry and electrical work can be added to the job. Casing is the plastic channel that hides the pipes and cables along the wall. Ask for each extra as its own line, so you can compare quotes fairly.

The page also says Denicon can survey the site and give a detailed quote before installation. A survey is a good moment to check the electrics: ask whether the unit needs its own breaker and a new cable from the board.

Orders and help

Orders go through the online shop, which has a cart and order tracking, and the site lists a phone line for help. Its website gives online help hours from Saturday to Thursday.
