Prime Environmental Services - Maldives

The pest control company of the Prime Maldives group

Prime Environmental Services - Maldives carries out the pest control work listed on the website of its sister company, Prime Maldives. That page sets out separate services for homes, businesses, hotels and resorts, and farms. It says each service is designed to tackle the root cause, stopping the nuisance where it starts. Its PinkBazaar entry, in a global business directory, files it under house cleaning in Male (Malé).

From bed bugs to book lice: pests in the home

For households, the page names bed bugs, termites, mosquitoes, cockroaches and rodents. The page adds home disinfection, which it says further protects the household.

Its wider list takes in ants, fleas, spiders, silverfish, earwigs, beetles, centipedes and millipedes. Wood borer, book lice, caterpillars and drain, fruit, house and phorid flies are named too. Wood borer is a beetle grub that tunnels through timber, and book lice are tiny insects drawn to damp paper.

Food businesses, hotels and resorts

Its commercial service handles cockroaches, rodents, termites, flies and stored product insects. Stored product insects are the small beetles and moths that settle in rice, flour and other dry food. The page links this work to health and safety guidance, with food-handling premises singled out.

For hotels and resorts, it lists regular inspections, sanitation practices and measures that keep infestations from starting. The same section says its eco-friendly methods keep disruption to guests low. In its FAQ, the company states that it uses safe, eco-friendly products and methods.

Resort training and farm work

A news post from November 2024 describes pest control training that Prime Environmental Services ran at Coco Bodu Hithi Resort. Attendees learned about common pests, what draws them in, and how a clean setting helps prevent infestations.

The group's training page includes integrated pest management in courses for resort teams, farmers and school children. Integrated pest management joins prevention, regular checks and targeted treatment into one plan. For growers, the pest control page adds crop pest management and weed control.

The group behind it

The About page says Prime Maldives was founded in 2007, first supplying farming inputs to local farmers. Its portfolio now spans farming inputs, power generators, landscaping, marine logistics, training and the pest control service.

Getting a figure, and points to raise

Enquiries reach Prime Maldives through a form on its contact page, or by email and phone. Its PinkBazaar entry gives its hours as half past eight to half past five, every day except Friday. Its FAQ ties cost to the pest, the size of the infestation and the treatment, and offers a detailed estimate after an assessment.

The FAQ also notes that a heavy infestation can take several rounds of treatment over a few weeks. What follows is general guidance for anyone booking pest control or disinfection, not a statement about this company. Should pests come back once the course is over, what are the re-treatment terms, and will you have them in writing?

Termites and wood borer both sit on its pest list. With timber pests, ask for an inspection first, and whether the plan reaches the source or only the damaged wood.

Restaurants and other food-handling premises fall within its commercial service. For a café, guest house or office, ask how many visits a yearly contract holds, what each covers, and how extra call-outs are charged.

Home disinfection is part of its residential service. Before disinfection, ask for the product name in writing and when children and pets can use the rooms again.
